| Films for the medical and pharmaceutical industry, produced in Unterland?s clean room!
Last year Unterland GmbH started up production of cast polypropylene films under the use of clean room technology as one of the first film manufacturers worldwide. The plants have been certified according to ISO EN 14644 by Quality Austria / ÖVQ. Production in clean room class 8, refers to rooms with an extremely low value of particles in the air and provides for the production of film qualities especially for use in the foodstuffs and in the medical and pharmaceutical industries for the packaging of their products.
Clean room information: The inner clean room area reaches from the weighing area to just before the wrapping area. Air circulation takes place here from bottom to top; filtered air is passed over further particle filters, blown in over source air outlets and sucked in over the ceiling. The wrapping area is a further clean room area which is separated from the inner clean room area though because of the manual labour done during packaging and discharging of the products which leads to higher emissions. The staff enters the clean room area through the staff airlock. The clean room can only be entered in clean room compatible clothing and after passing through the sit-over and disinfection areas. |
